If you grew up watching the same movies I did, you might need a moment. Or, if that special someone has a birthday coming up, $30 – $50. Money well spent.
But would it be a present for ‘that special someone’, or a present for you?
It’s a Gift Horse thing. If that special someone expects a goddamn birthday present next year, then that special someone will take the goddamn contact lenses and that special someone will like them, dammit!
(Actually, I’d best throttle back the rage there, or hypothetical other readers will get the wrong idea about who exactly “that special someone” is. Handsome fella or no, you in those contact lenses is an image that I can live without.)
To be fair, I think that all four of us “other readers” have a pretty good idea … !!
